01 - 2 slices thick-cut milk bread or brioche, each approximately 1.5 inches thick

→ Honey Butter

02 - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
03 - 2 tablespoons honey
04 - 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

→ Toppings

05 - 1 scoop vanilla ice cream (optional)
06 - 1 tablespoon sliced almonds (optional)
07 - Extra honey, for drizzling

# Method:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F or adjust toaster oven to its highest setting.
02 - Combine softened butter, honey, and granulated sugar in a small mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly until smooth and creamy.
03 - Using a knife, gently score each bread slice with a crosshatch pattern, taking care not to cut all the way through.
04 - Generously spread the prepared honey butter over the top and into the slits of each bread slice.
05 - Place the prepared bread slices onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
