# Method:
01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

03 - In a large bowl, beat softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, approximately 2-3 minutes.
04 - Add egg, molasses, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until fully combined.
05 - Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing until just incorporated; avoid overmixing.
06 - Divide dough in half, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes for easier handling.
