07 - Remove sandwiches, allow to cool slightly, slice, and serve.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The air fryer creates this impossibly crispy exterior that I have never managed to get from a pan on the stove
  • It works every single time no matter how distracted or rushed you are
  • Cleanup is basically nonexistent which means you can focus entirely on eating
02 -
  • You really do need to flip the sandwiches halfway through. I tried skipping this step once and ended up with burnt bottoms and pale tops.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. The hot air needs to circulate around the sandwiches for even cooking.
03 -
  • Mayo instead of butter creates an even crispier exterior if you want to try something different
  • Add a thin layer of Parmesan to the outside before cooking for a cheesy crust
  • Place a small piece of parchment paper in the basket if your cheese tends to drip
